West Debuts Speech Recognition Platform

Teleservices provider West Corp., Omaha, NE, has unveiled a new speech recognition system for use in customer service call centers.


The system, dubbed SpeechXchange, incorporates technology from Nuance in Menlo Park, CA, and Speechworks, Boston. West is using the speech recognition system in its network of 30 contact centers.


West showed off the new offering last week at V-World, Nuance's annual speech technology conference in San Diego. More information about the system is available at www.speechxchange.com.
