Webvan to Offer Books

The Webvan group will expand its item categories to include books, the San Francisco-based company said yesterday. Webvan, an online grocer, will offer best sellers, children's', local subjects, cookbooks and recommended books.


"We are aggressively expanding our product offering beyond groceries to give our customers a breadth and depth of choices when they shop with Webvan," said George Shaheen, Webvan CEO.
