WebTrends joins forces with Silverpop

Analytics firm WebTrends Inc. has partnered with e-mail marketing services firm Silverpop to integrate analytics into e-mail.

The combined platforms will give marketers the ability to track Web site visitors and to schedule automated e-mail communications around their behavior.

WebTrends users can build profiles of customer behavior based on overall habits when they visit the site. Based on the visitor information delivered by WebTrends, the Silverpop platform monitors a variety of deliverability scenarios so that high-volume, personalized e-mail communications can be automatically delivered to a company's customers and prospects.

Silverpop is part of WebTrends Open Exchange, a marketing network that combines WebTrends Marketing Lab 2 for ad serving, content management, customer relationship management, e-mail marketing, enterprise campaign management, site search, targeting and optimization, user experience, Web site monitoring and other marketing applications.
