WebConnect Introduces Banner Frequency Capping

Internet media placement company WebConnect announced yesterday the launch of CustomView, a service that allows WebConnect clients to cap the number of times Web users see a particular banner ad.

CustomView also allows advertisers to rotate banners on any Web site based on the number of times an individual has seen a banner, the company said.

According to WebConnect, response drops significantly after a person has seen a banner three or four times.

"[CustomView] allows advertisers to maximize their return on investment by creating individualized ad campaigns and testing the number of banner views by individual," said Jay Schwedelson, corporate vice president of WebConnect.

WebConnect's parent company is list firm Worldata, Boca Raton, FL. The CustomView service is free to WebConnect clients.
