Web Site Features Medical-Imaging Supplies
Communications and information management firm Marconi Medical Systems, London, has launched the first online business Web site for selling medical-imaging supplies, the company has announced.The Marconi Health Care Products unit's Web site at www.marconihcp.com gives doctors and hospitals constant, up-to-date access to 32,000 medical imaging products, the company said. Marconi introduced the site this month at the American Radiology Administrators Meeting and Exposition in Nashville, TN.
Through a series of alliances with group-purchasing organizations, about 90 percent of the nation's hospitals will be able to link to the site's data, Marconi said. The company also is developing links to the online resources of five group-purchasing organizations, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs database of federal medical suppliers.
