Web Service Offers Rich Media Demos

Wealth2k.com next month will launch its Web-hosted sales presentation service.

The service is designed to give financial sales representatives the capability of offering rich media product/service demonstrations at their business sites. Reps with limited insurance expertise, for instance, will be able to direct prospects to their firm's Web site to review a video presentation detailing their products' benefits.

The service also lets company executives control the marketing message more effectively, said David Macchia, president/CEO of Wealth2k.com, Hingham, MA.

"It's like you can have a 1,000 different agents out there giving a 1,000 presentations at the same time," he said. "It allows you to control the market conduct."

Keyport Life Insurance Co., Boston, recently signed on as the service's first client. Wealth2k.com expects to sign two other US clients by the end of the month and roll out the service in Canada by 2002.
