Weather.com Renews 24/7 Real Media Ad-Serving Contract

24/7 Real Media said that it renewed its ad-serving contract yesterday with Weather.com for another three years.

Weather.com, a 24/7 Real Media client since 1999, will continue to use Open AdStream Local, 24/7 Real Media's ad-serving software. Financial details were not disclosed, but publishers generally pay a license fee tied to the volume of impressions sites are expected to serve. Weather.com ranked as the 17th most visited site on the Internet in October, according to comScore Media Metrix, drawing nearly 20 million visitors.

In addition to the ad-serving software, 24/7 Real Media technology products include a hosted ad server for publishers, Web site analytics software, and an ad-serving solution for agencies and advertisers. While the number of clients using its technology products has declined over the past year, 24/7 Real Media has doubled the number of paid impressions served. In the third quarter, revenues from OpenAdStream and other technology products rose 40 percent.

OpenAdStream clients include Forbes.com, FoxNews.com and YellowPages.com.
