We are Ready to Rebuild and Move Forward

I read Tad Clarke's editorial ("Let's Do Something," Sept. 24) and feel compelled to offer this supportive response.


The terrorists' attempts to imperil or destroy our society were doomed to failure from the outset. While their horrific, inhumane acts have caused immeasurable grief, these same despicable acts have galvanized us to come together in greater harmony than recent memory can recall.


As we begin to absorb the shock and unforgettable sadness of Sept. 11, we are ready to rebuild and move forward. And, I pray we do so with a greater sense of charity and concern for the well-being of others. In that way, we strengthen our society as well as our economy.
