WDMI Honors Hatch as Woman of the Year

Kerry Hatch, president of American Express' OPEN: The Small Business Network, was honored May 6 as Woman of the Year by Women in Direct Marketing International.


David Collins, creator of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and co-founder of Scout Productions, delivered the keynote address at a dinner at the Yale Club in New York.


"WDMI has had a long history of recognizing pioneers in the direct marketing industry, and it is an honor to now be a part of this elite group," Hatch said in her acceptance speech. "One of the principles that has anchored our success over the past year in building the OPEN brand has been 360-degree brand integration. In this very cluttered marketplace, no single channel is powerful enough to drive results, but when all channels work together in a surround-sound fashion, there is a multiplying effect that can help drive the business."
