Wam!Net Streamlines Digital Proofing

Acorn Press, Lancaster, PA, has introduced Wam!Net, a digital delivery network that speeds the electronic transfer of digital files, lowers the chance of data loss and can cut the digital proofing process by days or weeks.

Wam!Net relies on network connections to transfer digital files rather than the past process of downloading the files onto a portable disk drive, delivering the drive to the client and uploading the files on their system. Wam!Net can deliver files to a client's desktop in less than an hour for review on a digital color proofer.

According to Acorn Press network administrator Frank Kenavan, Wam!Net has improved production efficiencies for the Martha Stewart Everyday product line, which requires constant updates for thousands of pieces each month.
