Vogue to unveil ShopVogue.tv

Vogue Magazine will launch a broadband Internet channel August 21 called ShopVogue.tv.

The CondΘ Nast fashion glossy will run the channel as a companion to its 3-year-old Web site ShopVogue.com. As on that site, users will be able to buy products featured on the site directly online.

The new site will also feature original programming, including "60 Seconds to Chic," and previously syndicated"Trend Watch."

Three weeks away from its online debut, ShopVogue.tv has already contributed to advertising sales for the print version of Vogue. The magazine's September issue features a record 727 ad pages, up from 626 last year. Vogue publishing director Tom Florio attributed 100 of the total pages in the issue directly to the introduction of the new site.
