*Vidville.com Launches With Webcam Promo
At the site, consumers can upload video clips of themselves addressing subjects in categories such as movies, news and sports.
To get people interested in its launch, Vidville has formed a strategic partnership with Needtowin.com, a banner-free sweepstakes and contest site.
Consumers can come to Needtowin beginning today to enter to win a free Webcam. Once they enter, they are notified via the confirmation page that they can click over to Vidville to enter another Webcam contest.
At the site, they can earn additional entries by voting for their favorite messages that have been posted. Forty Webcams will be given away.
"We're a video message board. Through the Webcam give away, we want people to partake on our site. It's an outreach to get people excited about the site," said Marise Nazzaro, spokeswoman for Vidville, Los Angeles.
Needtowin is no stranger to driving traffic. It sent more than 35,000 registrants to a recent Nabiscoworld.com sweepstakes in less than two months.
Needtowin's premise is, because the sweepstakes and contests are integrated as content on Needtowin's site, companies get a chance to promote in an environment where visitors do not feel as if they are getting a sales pitch.
Whether that is the case, Vidville will receive significant exposure as it expects to receive 4.5 million page views during the six-week promotion.
All the while, the site will accumulate a database of consumers interested in Webcams. Needtowin, Los Angeles, gives the names that it collects to its clients and neither keeps nor resells this information.
Needtowin offers advertisers a cost-per-acquisition rate of 75 cents, meaning clients only pay once they receive a person's contact information as well as the person's answers to clients' marketing questions.
As part of the strategic partnership with Vidville, Needtowin will have a significant marketing presence on Vidville's site.
