Video Service Shows New Cars in ActionFirstLook, Sherman Oaks, CA, yesterday launched a Web-based video clip service entailing all cars recently released in the United States.
Targeted at automotive retail and car information sites, the program involves footage of the cars being driven from various angles. The videos also include interior shots of the vehicles.
FirstLook, a consumer video content site as well as a business-to-business firm, obtained the footage from car manufacturers. Automotive content site TheCarConnection.com recently became the first company to use the service.
"Being able to watch how cars look on the road makes for a more complete Web experience," said Marty Padgett, executive editor of TheCarConnection. "Video footage is more captivating and more involving than still photos."
FirstLook said it expects to announce similar deals with other automotive-focused Web sites in the coming weeks.
The cost of the service was not disclosed.
