Vertis names CEO

Marketing services provider Vertis Communications announced that Quincy L. Allen, longtime executive of Xerox Corporation, has been appointed chief executive officer, effective April 6.

Former Vertis Inc. CEO Mike DuBose resigned his position effective January 1, after being brought on to lead Vertis' financial turnaround and acquisition of American Color Graphics

 “My goal is to combine my printing experience with a passion for product innovations and digital workflow solutions to empower Vertis' highly skilled teams to create even more opportunities for our customers,” said Allen in a statement.

Prior to Vertis, Allen was with Xerox Corporation for 27 years. Most recently, he was president of the company's Global Business and Strategic Marketing Group, and a vice president for the corporation.

Allen earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Rochester.
