Verizon Selects Inceptor to Attract Search Traffic

Verizon Wireless said yesterday that it has chosen Inceptor's Excedia online marketing software suite to help it direct consumers conducting online research on wireless service solutions to its store at www.verizonwireless.com.

According to the two companies, most consumers do research on the Internet before making buying decisions. To reach as many of those prospects as possible, Verizon Wireless will use Excedia's Search Engine Optimization to give Verizon Wireless results more prominence.

Verizon Wireless submitted its top keywords and phrases through Excedia to Inktomi Index Connec, a pay-for-performance program. Verizon Wireless said this will provide greater visibility and placement through popular search terms associated with its brand, specific rate plans, phones and accessories.
