Verizon teleservices subsidiary Infotel will partner with financial services firm Equitex to telemarket credit cards to Hispanics in the United States, the two companies said yesterday.

Infotel will provide its Spanish-speaking teleservices capabilities, including1,000 seats and 1,300 telephone agents.

The company operates three call centers in the Dominican Republic, with two in the capital city of Santo Domingo and the other in Santiago.

Englewood, CO-based Equitex will provide credit-card products for the marketing effort through its Key Financial System Inc. subsidiary.

In early November, Key Financial picked Hispanic Teleservices Corp. to provide Spanish-language outbound telemarketing on a separate campaign to market credit cards to the Hispanic market.
