Valpak.com, SmartSource Team on Grocery Coupons

Two of the nation's leading coupon providers, Valpak, Largo, FL, and SmartSource Interactive Group, New York, announced a partnership yesterday to increase distribution of online grocery coupons.

Valpak's Web site, Valpak.com, will increase its grocery content tenfold by teaming with SmartSource, a provider of online grocery content and a division of News America Marketing Inc., a News Corp. company.

The SmartSource Online Savings Network, anchored by SmartSource.com, delivers interactive promotions for consumer packaged goods companies such as ConAgra Foods Inc., Hormel Foods Corp., Gerber Products Corp. and GlaxoSmithKline via a syndicated savings network consisting of newspaper, retailer and lifestyle Web sites.

"Many consumers visiting Valpak.com have left us feedback that they would like more grocery coupons from our site," said Todd Leiser, vice president of Internet technology services for Cox Target Media, provider of Valpak and Valpak.com.

Next month, Valpak plans to announce another content partnership that it said will boost Valpak.com's position and move it toward its goal of being the largest U.S. coupon provider. The company would not provide further details.
