Valassis Buys Remaining Interest in PreVision

Valassis said Friday it has acquired the remaining 20 percent interest of PreVision Marketing, a full-service customer relationship management agency.


Valassis, Livonia, MI, originally took 80 percent ownership in PreVision, Boston, in August 2000.


Valassis offers marketing services to consumer packaged goods manufacturers, retailers, technology companies and other customers with operations in the United States, Europe, Mexico and Canada. Its portfolio includes newspaper advertising and inserts, sampling, direct mail, one-to-one marketing programs, coupon clearing and consulting and analytic services.


Ron Goolsby, vice president of 1 to 1 Solutions for Valassis, will assume the leadership role at PreVision. The PreVision principals will leave the business
