USPS Reopens Some ZIPs to Standard Mail

The U.S. Postal Service lifted its suspension yesterday of Standard and Periodicals mail for three ZIP codes in Mississippi: 369, 393 and 394. Drop-shipment appointments to these ZIP codes are being accepted, the USPS said, but appointments are required before any drop shipments can occur.

The USPS is still not accepting any Standard (letters and flats) or Periodicals mail -- from any source -- addressed for delivery within these three-digit ZIP code ranges: Mississippi, 395 and 396; and Louisiana, 700, 701, 703 and 704.

The USPS is accepting Express Mail destined for Mississippi ZIP codes 369, 393 and 394, but not for codes 395, 396, 700, 701, 703 and 704.
