USPS Releases Mailing Guidebook for Customers
The 24-page booklet is the first in a series of books to replace the Domestic Mail Manual. The current DMM is a complex document full of complicated directions, instructions and phrases. Other books in the series will focus on beginning and small bulk mailers; small businesses and nonprofit organizations; and professional mailers.
"It also is a tool for postal employees, whom customers rely on as important sources of information when making mailing decisions," said Anita Bizzotto, chief marketing officer at the USPS.
What sets this apart from other manuals created by the USPS, Bizzotto said, is that "it reflects the needs and questions of the people who have to use it -- our customers."
The booklet will be available at local post offices later this month. It also is available online at usps.com.
