USPS, PRC Add June Date to Ratemaking Summit

The U.S. Postal Service and Postal Rate Commission have added a follow-up meeting June 27 to the ratemaking summit scheduled for May 28 in Potomac, MD.

The summit is designed to provide a forum for interested parties to discuss new approaches for postal products and services. This is the first time there has been such a summit.

The agenda for the May 28 meeting will include the often-proposed idea of phased rates to make price changes more regular and predictable. The June meeting will discuss negotiated service agreements and other customized rate approaches addressed at the May 28 meeting.

Those interested in attending the June summit may register at www.usps.com. The second session will also be held at the Bolger Academy.
