USPS Ends Global Direct-Mexico

The U.S. Postal Service is discontinuing its Global Direct-Mexico service, a postal spokesman said yesterday.

The service provides mailers sending letter mail, publications and direct mail items with direct entry into Mexico. Though it has been available since November 1993, few customers have used it. No customers use the service currently, the spokesman said.

A Federal Register notice announcing the discontinuation of the service is expected this month.
