USPS conducting agency review

The US Postal Service is conducting a review of its marketing agencies, the government agency said on June 30. USPS spokesperson Patricia Licata said that the USPS is reviewing its strategy and creative, retail promotions, direct marketing and sales support, media planning and buying, and multicultural marketing for the African-American, Hispanic and Asian markets.

Licata declined to state how many agencies are participating in the review, when the review is expected to be completed or the scope of the business.

Draftfcb Chicago and Campbell Ewald Advertising are incumbents, Licata said. Draftfcb handles the USPS's retail and promotions business, and Campbell Ewald Advertising oversees its direct marketing and sales support.

Mark Bellissimo, managing director at Campbell Ewald Advertising, and a Draftfcb Chicago representative declined to comment on whether the agencies are participating in the review.

Adweek reported news of the review on June 30.
