USPS Certifies Mailnet for NCOALink

Mailnet Services Inc., a direct marketing and automated list processing services provider, said last week it has been awarded a limited service provider certification for NCOALink, the U.S. Postal Service's new mailing list management product.

NCOALink replaced the National Change of Address database Oct. 1 while only one more year was granted to FASTforward Mailing List Correction, both USPS-licensed products that let mailers qualify for First-Class Mail automation and presort discounts.

The USPS developed NCOALink to increase consumer information security. The product encodes consumer and business move information (names and addresses) into an encrypted, 11-digit format. Only companies receiving USPS designation as licensees will have access to the NCOALink database and the ability to decode the change-of-address information.

Mailnet Services, Franklin, TN, has integrated NCOALink into its list hygiene product, Listcleanup.com (www.listcleanup.com), under the trade names Move48 and Move18 and will provide customers with access to COA data going back 18 or 48 months.
