USPS Awards Biodetection Contract to Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman Corp.'s Security Systems LLC unit announced yesterday that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Postal Service to manufacture and integrate biohazard detection systems for use in detecting potential biological threats at postal service mail-sorting facilities nationwide.


The contract, which extends from January 2004 to October 2004, has a value of approximately $175 million.
