Leading building products company USG Corp. has chosen ARGI as its new marketing database solutions provider after a four-month competitive search.

Montvale, NJ-based ARGI, formerly Automated Resources Group International, initiated work on the development of the USG database in 2006.

With ARGI's Insight Sapphire, USG will be able to manage its customer acquisition channels within one integrated tool and promote to potential customers based on their individual attributes, according to ARGI.

Founded in 1971, ARGI is a subscription fulfillment, database marketing and Web services solutions provider. It specializes in providing technology-enabled subscription and membership customer management services across multiple touch points and channels.

Prior to the development of USG's Insight database, the company managed its database from more than 100 different sources of data, increasing the cycle time necessary to build and manage customer relationships.

USG is a Fortune 500 manufacturer and distributor of building systems through its United States Gypsum Company, USG Interiors Inc. and L&W Supply Corp. subsidiaries.

Based in Chicago and founded in 1902, the company serves the residential and non-residential construction markets, repair and remodel construction markets, and industrial processes.
