U.S. Interactive Inc., Philadelphia, an Internet professional services firm, yesterday announced the launch of www.powerdirect.com, an e-solution designed to build a client base, provide customer service, and foster customer relationships for Power Direct, Peoria, IL, an energy company serving customers in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania -- and eventually across the country as states continue to deregulate.


Power Direct is part of The AES Corp., Arlington, VA, the world's largest global power company, with facilities in 22 countries and assets in excess of $20 billion.


Power Direct, which is currently using the Internet to acquire, service and retain customers, is using U.S. Interactive's e-Roadmap to create www.powerdirect.com, which gives immediate price quotes and purchasing capabilities, improves customer service, lowers customer acquisition and service costs, and strategically positions Power Direct to expand its businesses to other states.


In addition, with www.powerdirect.com customers can compare Power Direct's prices with their current utility rate and identify their cost savings; receive, review and pay their bills online; and maintain and update their account information as needed.


Also, any business conducted online is immediately integrated with Power Direct's proprietary Customer Information System that provides their customer-service representatives with a single integrated view of online and offline customers.
