US Airways Launches Sweepstakes to Push Online Bookings

US Airways seeks to increase business on its usairways.com and flymetrojet.com Web sites with the launch of a promotion that is part of its "Countdown to the Millennium" jubilee sweepstakes.


Customers who buy tickets through these sites will be eligible for monthly drawings that run through December. Customers can download an entry form and mail it in. Each month, one person will win a round trip for two to US Airways destinations including the Caribbean Islands, Florida, California and Europe, and stay in Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide hotels such as the Sheraton, Westin and Luxury Collection.


The grand prize winner gets 10 round-trip tickets for a New Year celebration in the Spanish capital of Madrid. Additionally, online customers will also earn a bonus 1,000 Dividend Miles through Dec. 31 if they fly on US Airways, US Airways Express, US Airways Shuttle or MetroJet. US Airways launched its online reservations system last October.
