UPS adds to international golf sponsorship role

UPS has been named the official supplier of The Open Championship, in a four-year agreement that expands its sponsorship role in international golf tournaments.

UPS also has signed agreements with British golf champion Lee Westwood and rising golfer Pablo Larrazábal of Spain to represent the company as global brand ambassadors.

In addition to its new role in The Open Championship, UPS also serves as the official logistics and express sponsor of The European Tour, providing transportation and logistical support. The tour oversees 53 tournaments in more than two dozen countries, according to a release from UPS.

UPS also sponsors six tournaments during each year of its four-year agreement with The Tour: the Volvo China Open, the Ballantine's Championship, the BMW PGA Championship, the BMW International Open, Barclay's Scottish Open and the UBS Hong Kong Open.
