United International Pictures Picks Aprimo

United International Pictures, a joint venture between Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures, selected Aprimo Marketing Inc. for use in all its international marketing campaigns.


Aprimo, Indianapolis, develops and markets software and consulting services designed to help manage the business processes of marketing.


UIP is a distributor of feature-length motion pictures to cinemas. Along with distributing Paramount and Universal films, UIP represents DreamWorks, Working Title, Scott Rudin and other producers.


UIP will use Aprimo to improve coordination, decrease messaging-cycle times, tighten financial controls and improve best practices for its marketing worldwide. It is using Aprimo products including Marketing Planner, Budgets & Forecasts, Expense Manager, Calendar, Digital Asset Manager, Creative Reviews and Supplier Manager.


UIP is first implementing the system in the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands and Germany. In later phases Aprimo's products will be rolled out to all UIP operations in 35 countries.


Recent international UIP releases include "Vanilla Sky," "Catch Me If You Can," "8 Mile," "Johnny English," "The Italian Job," "Intolerable Cruelty" and "Love Actually."
