Unique Printers Adds New Indigo System
Unique Printers & Lithographers completed the installation of its third Indigo digital press, the UltraStream 2000, which will be used for various short-run printing jobs.This technology will make jobs up to 2,000 pieces more cost-effective because it will double the speed of its other Indigo printers, according to Unique, Cicero, IL.
The company said UltraStream will let it turn most jobs around in two days.
Unique said the technology will improve its ability to print at 175 lines per inch as well as better its capability of printing solids with little or no banding. The 60-year-old company also will be able to change the press to work in grayscale, providing an alternative to Docutech work.
