UIT, Kodak Promise Enhanced Web Experience

United Internet Technologies, Los Angeles, a developer of interactive technologies, and Eastman Kodak have entered into an agreement in which clients will be able to use UIT's Divo Internet Video Technology and Kodak's Programmable CD-ROM Technology simultaneously.

The companies first will market the technologies to Fortune 500 companies. They are doing so via a national tour and are meeting with companies to demonstrate the technologies.

Kodak Programmable CD-ROM Technology combines a stamped CD-ROM and a recordable CD. The disc can be mass-replicated and customized with personalized data. Combining the customizable features and UIT's Divo technology will enable the production of discs that can speak to the user by name, the companies said.

Applications for these personalized discs include one-to-one marketing campaigns, customized e-catalogs, Internet debit cards, online membership cards, pay-per-view access discs and digital content management tools.
