Travelocity Hopes Full Stomach Translates Into Customer Loyalty

Travelocity.com is offering its Prefered Travel Program members

who dine at partnered restaurants the chance to win two roundtrip airline tickets.

Until Sept. 17, site members will be entered into the contest each time they eat at one of the 7,000 restaurants affiliated with the Miami-based dining rewards company Transmedia Network Inc. A winner will be announced weekly for the program.

Participants have to be Prefered Travel Program mambers, which also makes them registered with Transmedia's credit-card-based frequent travelers program called iDine. Members use an iDine-branded card to pay for their meals, and in turn, about 15 percent of the bill is credited to their accounts.

Financial terms of the deal between the two firms were not disclosed.
