Travel is the second largest "shopped" e-commerce category, after software, said consumer behavior analyst @plan (www.webplan.net), Stamford, CT. Over the last six months, 22 percent of active Web users over age 18 have shopped online for either airline tickets or reservations.

@plan tracks consumer behavior through its consumer database, which is built from a random survey of 40,000 active adult users on the Web. Its database is updated every 90 days with 10,000 new completed questionnaires from active adult Web users.
