Transora, ICG Enter Purchasing Deal

Transora Inc., a global e-marketplace packaged-goods industry provider, has tapped ICG Commerce to handle part of its indirect material purchasing.


Transora, Chicago, consists of about 50 companies trading online, including Sara Lee Corp. and PepsiCo. Inc. ICG Commerce, Jenkintown, IN, is designed to help companies lower purchasing costs through various methods, including pooling purchasing power through marketplaces such as Transora.


ICG Commerce is majority-owned by Internet Capital Group Inc., a business-to-business holding company based in Wayne, IN.
