Transcontinental Renames U.S. DM Operations

Transcontinental Inc. changed the name of its direct marketing production operations from Transcontinental CC3 to Transcontinental Direct USA, the company announced yesterday at the DMA's fall show in New Orleans.

Transcontinental, Montreal, purchased DM services firm CC3 in December for $106 million in stock and cash. In March, Transcontinental reformed CC3, dubbing it Transcontinental CC3, while transferring the company's litho-printing capabilities to the new business unit.

Since then, CC3 has undergone expansions, including: acquiring the assets of Liberty Graphics, which were added to CC3's print facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; a new plant in Fort Worth, TX, set to open this month; additions to its direct mail plant in Warminster, PA; and a new sales, training and customer support center in New York.
