Transcontinental Expands Capacity With New Assets

Transcontinental Inc. said yesterday that it acquired new equipment from Liberty Graphics, a commercial printer and direct marketing service provider in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Direct mail and fulfillment equipment acquired in the transaction will add capacity to Transcontinental's 95,000-square-foot print facility in Texas, also in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which can produce about 500 million litho printed forms and laser personalized letters yearly. Financial details of the asset acquisition were not disclosed.

Transcontinental will take on 40 Liberty Graphics employees with print and lettershop experience as part of the transaction. The Transcontinental CC3 business unit, which includes the Texas facility, offers direct mail and e-mail services including database design and management, printing, fulfillment, list management and brokerage and teleservices.
