Transcontinental Direct Picks Ex-Cenveo Exec as President

Robert Young was appointed yesterday as president of Transcontinental Direct. Young will lead Montreal-based Transcontinental's U.S. direct marketing activities from Warminster, PA.


Young replaces Don McKenzie, who left the company in early June. McKenzie joined Petsky Prunier LLC on Oct. 11 as its new president/CEO.


Before coming to Transcontinental, Young was president of the commercial envelope division at Cenveo Inc., responsible for 15 U.S. envelope locations with annual sales of $375 million.


The largest direct mail supplier in North America to the strategic financial services sector, Transcontinental Direct is an operating group within Transcontinental's marketing products and services sector. Transcontinental Direct has U.S. operations in eastern Pennsylvania, Dallas/Fort Worth and the Los Angeles area.


Transcontinental, the largest printer in Canada and seventh in North America, has 14,000 employees in Canada, the United States and Mexico. It reported revenue of $1.9 billion in 2005.
