Toysrus.com Plans to Expand

Toysrus.com, which was criticized for failing to deliver orders on time last Christmas, yesterday announced plans to expand its operations and double its workforce over the next year.

The online arm of Toys 'r' Us plans to open offices in New Jersey and San Francisco by the end of the summer. Toysrus.com, which has 300 workers, plans to hire mostly technical and business administration employees.

The expansion follows several dot-com failures, including Disney-backed Toysmart. The Toysrus.com competitor shut down last month.
