Townsend Agency Takes On StockPower

The Townsend Agency, Rosemont, IL, was awarded the affinity marketing program for San Francisco-based StockPower, a company positioning itself as "the world's first equity-based e-loyalty company."

Townsend, an integrated relationship marketing firm, will develop direct and Web-based marketing programs for StockPower and its clients.

StockPower's technology enables public companies to sell stock directly to individual investors via their corporate Web sites. The services, which can benefit both individual investors and companies, provide a cost-efficient alternative to buying stock directly from companies. A key advantage the Townsend Agency will promote is the ability of companies to deliver affinity marketing programs directly to what is sure to be one of their most powerful affinity groups, their shareholders.

Donna Kuker, senior director of affinity marketing at StockPower, said the Townsend Agency truly understands the company's business and the opportunities it provides by offering a new approach to affinity investing.
