Topix licenses InfoGroup database

InfoGroup has announced that its InfoUSA division's US business database of 14 million records has been licensed by Topix.com, a Web news community, for its nationwide local business directory.

As part of the agreement, Topix retrieves InfoUSA data through an XML-based API that allows searches to be performed in real time on local business databases available with InfoUSA.

Topix users can search InfoUSA local business information including restaurants, shopping, entertainment, sports, beauty, fitness and travel categories.
