Times Company Digital Sees Web Traffic Increase

Times Company Digital, the online arm of The New York Times Co., reported yesterday that year-on-year traffic in December increased at its largest Web site. The number of unique registered users for The New York Times' online edition at nytimes.com in December 1999 versus December 1998 was up 86 percent to 10.3 million. Page views on the site rose 49 percent and visits or sessions were up 42.7 percent. Also, the site gained a 9.5 percent reach in the New York metropolitan area.
