Time Warner Cable Picks Technology Providers

Sun Microsystems and CSG Systems have provided technology infrastructure for Time Warner Cable's 500-seat call center.


Sun Microsystems, Palo Alto, CA, provided workstations and servers for the center, while CSG Systems, Denver, provided customer service representative software. The value of the deal was not released.


Time Warner Cable, New York, provides cable television service to approximately 1.2 million consumers in the New York metropolitan area. The company's call center staff of 600 agents receives an estimated 30,000 calls per day and 10 million calls per year.
