Tiffany Posts Gains for Q4, Year

Double-digit percentage increases in multiple categories characterized the fourth-quarter and full-year results generated by Tiffany & Co., New York.


The company said yesterday that worldwide net sales rose 18 percent to $731.59 million in its fourth quarter ended Jan. 31. Net earnings for the fourth quarter were up 24 percent from the prior year.


For the year ended Jan. 31, net sales increased 17 percent. Full-year net earnings increased 13 percent to $215.52 million from $189.89 million a year ago.


Combined e-commerce and catalog sales improved 25 percent in the quarter and 23 percent for the year.
