Think Partnership to Buy Web Diversity

With an eye on Europe and Asia, search and Internet marketing firm Think Partnership, Northbrook, IL, said yesterday that it will acquire Web Diversity LLC, a privately held search marketing firm in London.

Think owns nine online and offline marketing companies in the United States including search engine optimization and pay-per-click firm WebSourced Inc., Morrisville, NC; affiliate marketing firm PrimaryAds Inc., North Plainfield, NJ; and KowaBunga Marketing Inc., an Internet marketing software firm in Westland, MI.

Think will pay $1 million in cash and $1 million in common stock for Web Diversity, which soon will open an office in Hong Kong as part of the deal.

"We see this as a fantastic opportunity for U.S.-based companies to leverage our paid search expertise in Europe and Asia," Web Diversity co-founder/CEO Simon Worsfeld-Gregg said. Also, Web Diversity gets a "local touch point" in the United States, he said.

Meanwhile, the acquisition creates opportunities for PrimaryAds and KowaBunga to offer affiliate marketing internationally, according to Think.
