The Wall Street Journal and Microsoft partner on contextual advertising services

The Wall Street Journal's paid search and contextual advertising services will be provided by Microsoft Corp. through a new partnership. Contextual ads are sold on a pay-per-click basis and appear as text links at the bottom of stories viewed on WSJ.com. Text ads, listed in a shaded area at the top of search results, are also avail­able. The Wall Street Journal previously used Pulse 360 for the contextual ad links and Business.com for the paid search links.
