The Spiegel Group Expects E-Commerce Expansion

The Spiegel Group is anticipating further expansion of its e-commerce business and recently outlined its expectations for top-line and bottom-line growth.


It anticipates 10 percent top-line growth and approximately 55 percent bottom-line growth this year. Also, the company anticipates continued sales growth of about 10 percent, accompanied by increased earnings of at least 15 percent during the next three years.


Through the second quarter of this year, sales from the company's Internet sites represent 6.2 percent of net sales, compared with 1.4 percent during the same period last year.
