The City Club of Cleveland Picks Optiem for E-Mail

The City Club of Cleveland has chosen permission-based e-mail marketer Optiem to manage its membership communications.

The City Club is a 1,200-member free speech forum that features weekly programs on various topics.

Optiem will provide The City Club with customized e-mail services and manage the organization's e-mail newsletter.

"Speed of communication is critical to our success," said Amy Robinson, the group's marketing manager. "When a member of the president's cabinet scheduled a forum with nine days notice, we did not have the time to produce and mail a physical flier."

The City Club was founded in 1912 and is the oldest continuous free speech forum in the country. Speakers have included presidents, Supreme Court justices and actors.
