TeleTech to Provide Customer Contact for Best Buy

TeleTech Holdings announced a multiyear contract with specialty retailer Best Buy yesterday to provide customer relationship management.

Financial details were not disclosed. TeleTech said it would manage product inquiries, order tracking and placement, warranties and delivery for Best Buy, which has 500 retail stores in the United States and an Internet outlet, BestBuy.com.

TeleTech, Denver, will assist Best Buy with its strategic consolidation and cost-cutting initiatives. In a statement, a Best Buy executive said the company needed an outsourced teleservices provider that could help it manage the growth of its Internet retail sales.
