TechLabs Unit Plans to Offer Electronic Marketing Services

TechLabs Inc., Fort Lauderdale, FL, yesterday said its Interplanner.com subsidiary plans to begin providing member-based electronic marketing services.

Interplanner presently provides a free online calendar and personal information management Web application.

In the third quarter, Interplanner will begin featuring advertisements in its appointment and task reminder e-mails sent daily to its database of registered users. The marketing messages will include headers and footers sold to sponsors and advertisers.

During the summer, the unit will enhance its user registration process to offer simultaneous opt-in registration for information and marketing messages about user-selected topics. TechLabs, which provides consulting and financing services to start-up and emerging Internet-based companies, plans to rent category lists from this direct marketing database.

Interplanner initially plans to have at least 3 million registered users by the end of 2001.
